According to TIME, “ABC’s Lost isn’t merely a hit TV series. It’s the engine driving a vast product and promotional enterprise that’s a model for TV’s future. Here are just some of the ways that the show is available in cyberspace and beyond.”
Here are just some of the points:
Internet Sites - blogs, forums, podcasts, video clips, and merchandise.
TiVo and DVR - tape delayed watching, rewarching, or play by play clips.
Cell Phones - recaps, news, clues, screensavers, and Lost Video Diaries.
PSP - watch the pilot episode.
DVD Boxed Set - the first season of Lost sold more than a million units, second only to Chappelle’s Show - Season 2!
Games - interactive games and possibly a future console version.
IPod - over 2 million shows have been sold via Apple’s iTunes store.
