Lost - No Michael in the Finale

According to SpoilerFix, one old face you will not be seeing in the season finale is Harold Perrineau as Michael. He actually turned down an opportunity to return in the season finale. At this point, we have to assume that Michael and Walt are safe and sound at home.

Now why in the world would he turn this down?!?!?
