Lost Season 4 - Another New Castmate
Entertainment Weekly spilled the beans on another Lost castmate for Season 4!
Jeff Fahey (The Lawnmower Man, Psycho 3, Grindhouse) will be joining the cast in a role that is, according to producers, a custom fit for the actor. Known in his early career for his piercing blue eyes and chiseled physique, Fahey has become more of a menacing screen presence with his weathered good looks and gruff elocution. Like so many of Lost’s recent additions, Fahey exhibits this sort of coiled tension. He can be a very scary man.
Still in ‘radio silence,’ Lost producer Carlton Cuse was unusually talkative when it came to the why of Fahey’s casting, but mum is still the word on how the actor’s character will fit into the story. This is not to say that Fahey’s character necessarily has the mystique of recent castee Ken Leung’s alleged top-secret character – according to TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello - just a general dose of the usual ‘you’ll have to wait five months like everyone else’ steadfastness.
“Fahey is one of those actors who feels like he fits into the Lost model: He’s enormously talented and will be vaguely recognizable to some people, but he’ll be able to land on our island without most people going, ‘Oh, I know who that guy is.’ And especially for the part we cast him for, he has exactly the right sensibilities.” Cuse told Entertainment Weekly.
