Daniel Dae Kim Pleades Not Guilty
Daniel Dae Kim entered in an initial plea of “not guilty” to a drunken driving charge. This was after his arrest on October 25th. His blood alcohol level was 0.168 which is more than twice the legal limit.
Kim’s attorney, Patrick McPherson, said that the not guilty plea is more of a legal formality and no defense strategy has been planned. He also said that Kim is sorry for his actions.
“He made an apology to the state, the people of Hawaii and his fans,” McPherson said outside the courtroom. “He pleaded not guilty and requested a trial date.”
Kim did not appear at the arraignment in District Court. His trial was set for Feb. 15.
