Cloverfield Premiere Draws Big Names!
It was a star-studded black carpet at the premiere of Cloverfield last night!!
A dashing Lindsay Lohan made an appearance, wowing the crowd in her black mini with black-painted toenails peeking out of her shoes. Lohan struck a series of dramatic power poses for photographers. Ashley Tisdale, Ashlee Simpson, Lauren Conrad, and Kristin Cavallari also made an appearance.
Of course the film’s producer, J.J. Abrams, attracted quite the sci-fi crowd! Actors ranged from Harold Perrineau to nearly the entire cast of Abrams’ upcoming Star Trek film. Among the young Enterprise crewmembers there: Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Karl Urban (McCoy), John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Chekov).
Perrineau joked that he has been wondering if the mysterious Cloverfield monster may be “the same black-smoked monster” that has terrorized the Lost castaways since Season 1.
Director Matt Reeves explained that Cloverfield (in theaters Friday) is neither the name of a place, nor the name of the monster. “It’s the case name that the military has given to this particular incident.”
