On the Island: Miles parachuted onto the island with the other Freighter People. He is in search of Ben.

Episode 4.02:
Miles is in a car listening to a broadcast. All 324 passengers are confirmed dead. Miles knocks on a door to a Ms. Gardner’s house. They spoke on the phone earlier. She lets him in. “Which room is it?” Miles asks. “I get paid in advance.” He asks for $200 because her grandson was murdered. Miles takes the money and some equipment [a vacuum?] upstairs. “No matter what you hear, don’t come up.” He turns on the equipment and sits down on the room. He starts to freak out. “You’re not doing your grandmother any good by staying here, man. You’re causing her a lot of pain.” He then says that he’ll tell the grandmother that he’s gone “but only if you tell me where it is.” Something starts moving across the room. Miles opens it up. It’s a small packet… drugs? “You can go now,” Miles says as he leaves the room.
On the Island:
Miles says that Naomi gave a code. She didn’t have a sister, so her statement was a code saying that she was murdered. Kate says that they didn’t kill her, it was another person on the island. Miles insists that they take him to her body.
Miles does some chanting over Naomi’s body. “They didn’t kill her,” Miles says. “It happened the way they said it did.”
They see another signal and start to leave. Jack tells Miles and Daniel to put the guns down, because their friends are pointing guns at their heads. “How stupid do I look?” Miles starts to say before Juliet and Sayid step out and shoot!
Later Miles comes running up. “Where is he?” he yells. Jack steps in. Miles holds up a picture of Ben. “We’re here for Benjamin Linus, now where is he?”
Episode 4.03:
Sayid says he’s going to make Locke release Charlotte and he feels that Jack can’t do it. Miles tags along. Once in Jack’s camp Sayid trades Miles for Charlotte.
Episode 4.04:
Kate walks into the boathouse where Miles is being held prisoner. She sits down in front of Miles. “Do you know who I am?” she asks. “Do you know what I did?” “What did you do?” Miles asks. He says that he’ll tell her everything she wants to know, but she has to do something for him first. “I’m not letting you go,” she says. “I don’t want to be let go. I’m exactly where I want to be,” he replies. He says he wants one minute of someone’s time and he’ll tell her everything she wants to know. She asks him who and he says, “who do you think?”
Kate leads Miles to Locke’s house and breaks the window. They go down into the cellar.
Later Kate leads Miles to Locke’s house, shoots the lock and opens the door to Ben’s room. She tells him they have one minute. “You know who I am?” Miles asks. Ben replies yes. “Do you know who I work for?” Ben replies yes again. “You know he’s put a lot of time and energy into finding you?” Miles says he can lie and say that Ben is dead. For 3.2 million dollars.
Ben asks where he thinks he can that kind of money. “Do not treat me like one of them,” Miles says … “Like I don’t know who you are or what you can do.” Miles says he will take care of Charlotte, and Ben has two days … one week in cash.
Kate grabs Miles and leads him back into the hall. She slams him against the wall. Miles says that they all know about her, she’s wanted for murder, fraud, arson and a ton of other stuff. “So yeah, we know,” he says. “If I were you, I’d stay right here on the island.”
Locke and Sawyer arrive and lead Miles back to the boathouse. Locke sticks a grenade in Miles’ mouth and tells him to bite down. He says his name is John Locke and he’s responsible for the well-being on the island. He walks out.
