These flash forwards are presented in the order that they were viewed on the show. In parenthesis are numbers corresponding to the order that they flash forwards would appear chronologically for Hurley’s life off the island.

Episode 4.01: The Beginning of the End
(5) Hurley drives a Camaro through a pile of fruit. Police are chasing him. He runs through a pile of fruit. The police tell him to get out. He is taken to an interrogation room. They watch a tape of a convenience store where Hurley was earlier. Hurley sees something off camera, gets scared, and runs out.

Alone in the room Hurley looks to the window. It is now a tank and the ocean is on the other side. Charlie swims over. The window breaks, spilling water into the room. Hurley runs to the door and bangs on it, asking for help. When he turns around, nothing is in the room. The police officer returns and threatens to toss him in the “nut house”. Hurley hugs him and says “Thank you!”

(6) Hurley is in the mental institution. Matthew Abbadon approaches him and says that he is a representative of Oceanic Airlines and he would like to move Hurley to a better facility. Hurley says that he is fine where he is.

(7) Outside in the courtyard. Charlie approaches him. He tells Hurley that there is no need to freak out like he did in the store. Hurley says that he knows that Charlie is dead and he is not having an imaginary conversation with him. Charlie says that he is dead, but he’s also here. Hurley tells him to prove it, so Charlie slaps him. Charlie says that he needs Hurley to do something for him. “You knew I was here to tell you,” he says. Hurley says he’s not listening to this. He covers his ears and says when he counts to five Charlie will be gone. He counts slowly upwards. In between Charlie keeps saying “They need you.” At five, Hurley opens his eyes and Charlie is gone.

(8) Hurley shoots baskets in the empty gym. Jack enters and they begin playing HORSE. Hurley asks why he is there and Jack says that he came to check on him. “To see if I was going to tell,” Hurley replies. Hurley says that he is sorry that he went with Locke. “I should have stayed with you,” he says. Jack says that it’s water under the bridge. Hurley continues, saying that they didn’t do the right thing. He thinks that the Island wants them to come back and it’s going to do everything it can.

Episode 4.10: Something Nice Back Home
(9) Jack visits Hurley in the institution. Hurley says that he has a message from Charlie, “You’re not supposed to raise him.” Jack wonders if he means Aaron. Hurley tells Jack that there is more, and that he will be visited “soon”.

Episode 4.12: There’s No Place Like Home
(1) Ms. Decker, a representative for Oceanic Airways, comes into the cargo area where the Oceanic Six sit. Hurley sits there. Ms. Decker tells them that there will be press there when they land. Jack tells them to remember their story. The plane lands. Hurley exits first and waves. He goes to his mom and gives her a hug.

(2) The Oceanic Six sit in front of microphones as they are interviewed from the press about their location and what happened. One interviewer says that they look healthy for having been on the island for more than 100 days. Hurley asks if it was directed at him. She turns to him and asks how it feels know that he’s going to get all his money back. He says he doesn’t want it back. “Any of it. That money was bad luck.”

(3) Hurley drives up to his mansion in an old car. He is carrying a Mr. Clucks bag. He goes into the house. There’s a surprise party for him. His mother and father are in the crowd and everyone has on leis and it’s a Hawaiian theme. Kate and Aaron are there, as are Sayid and Nadia. Jack is running late.

(4) David asks if he can borrow Hurley for a minute. Hurley says that he didn’t want anything. David says that he had to get him something for his birthday, and it’s not from the money. He opens the garage door and inside is the Camaro. He fixed it up. He gives Hurley the keys. Hurley gets inside the car. He goes to put the key in the ignition and sees the odometer reading. It’s the numbers. Hurley opens the door and gets out. “I don’t want any of this!” He runs down the street.

Episode 4.12 (Part 2 and 3): There’s No Place Like Home
(10) Hurley is in the mental institution. A nurse bring in Michael’s mother and Walt. Walt is upset; he wants to know why nobody came to see him. He said that someone did come to see him – Jeremy Bentham. Walt says he doesn’t understand why everyone is lying. Hurley says that they are lying to protect everyone who didn’t come back.
