Naveen Andrews guesting on Law & Order: SVU

Actor Naveen Andrews (Sayid Jarrah) is guest starring on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, reports TV Guide. Nothing is known of Andrews’ role, but the episode in question starts filming next week in New York.

Lost fans shouldn’t read into this; it’s not uncommon for regulars on one show to guest star on another, though the great distance between New York and Hawaii will no doubt complicate things. In any event, there’s no need to start the rumor mill churning over “Sayid being killed off early in Season 6.” Anything’s possible, especially considering this is the final season of the show, but I wouldn’t get too worried.

Andrews’ episode of L&O:SVU is planned to air in January 2010.
