Take a virtual tour of LOST’s island
November 10, 2009 by Robin Parrish
Our friend Ryan at The Hawaii Weblog reports that the Aloha State has been added to Google Maps‘ “Street View,” allowing you to see panoramic, real-world photos from major roadways. What does this mean to us? It means that a number of major Lost locations can be found.
For example, I found the Dharma Barracks, aka YMCA Camp Erdman, which you can view here. I was shocked to discover that the familiar yellow buildings are right alongside a road!
I also found the “Mr. Clucks” restaurant (which is actually a Popeye’s) where the infamous Tricia Tanaka was killed by a falling meteor, and the Santa Rosa Mental Hospital (aka Windward Community College) where Hurley was a frequent guest. Ryan points out a few others at his blog.
It might be fun to compile a database of famous Lost locations viewable via Google Maps. Can you help me find more? Post any you find in the Comments below!
