DirecTV to re-air recap specials before Season 6

There have been a total of 11 recap specials aired during Lost’s five-season run. DirecTV subscribers are getting a chance to see six of them over six Saturdays in a row, thanks to a new promotional partnership between DirecTV and ABC.

DirecTV’s 101 Network will re-air six recap specials loaded with never-before-broadcast extra materials, like stuff you’d seen on the DVD releases of the show. Bloopers, behind-the-scenes footage, and music videos will be added to the original specials to give viewers added incentive to watch. The six specials are:

Destination: LOST
Saturday, December 26 – 9:pm, EST

Looks back at the first season of the show.

LOST: A Tale of Survival
Saturday, January 2 – 9:pm, EST
First aired: before the Season 3 premiere
A recap of the first two seasons.

The LOST Survivor Guide
Saturday, January 9 – 9:pm, EST
First aired: before the Season 3 mid-season return (“Not In Portland”)
Damon Lindelof & Carlton Cuse narrate this special on the backstories of several core characters and major events that happened on the island.

LOST: Past, Present & Future
Saturday, January 16 – 9:pm, EST
First aired: before the Season 4 premiere
Michael Emerson narrates this chronologically re-ordered look at the first three seasons of the show.

LOST: Destiny Calls
Saturday, January 23 – 9:pm, EST
First aired: before the Season 5 premiere
Lindelof & Cuse narrate this look at the first four seasons of the show.

LOST: A Journey in Time
Saturday, January 30 – 9:pm, EST
