Dominic Monaghan’s new role: revealed

June 9, 2009 by Robin Parrish

According to IGN, the mystery of Dominic Monaghan’s new casting on ABC has been solved, and it’s not a long-running show that the former Charlie Pace will be joining at all. It’s a new one.

IGN reports that, in a super-secret bit of casting, Monaghan is joining Flash Forward, the new scifi-tinged show based on the novel by Robert J. Sawyer. If true, Monaghan will find at least one familiar face there: another member of the stellar-looking cast is Sonya Walger, aka Lost’s Penelope Widmore.

LOST Season 5 final prep

January 21, 2009 by Robin Parrish

I have to be out of the house the rest of the afternoon, so this will be my final post until after the Season 5 premier… With that in mind, allow me to shamelessly point you in the direction of some of ApproachingLOST’s best “Season 5 Prep” features.

There’s nothing here that will spoil tonight’s experience for you, just some tasty stuff to wake up that part of your brain that’s needed to follow Lost’s many plotlines and mysteries.

  • Start with Lost Season 5’s Top 10 Mysteries, aka “the big island mysteries most likely to be answered in Season 5.” And let us know what you’re looking forward to this season.
  • Take a look at these features on Ajira Airways, the new alternate reality tie-in to the show. You might just turn up some hints about where the show is going.
  • The Dharma Special Access series of videos and updates will catch you up on all of the Season 5 teasers that Team Darlton have (intentionally) released thus far. There’s early glimpses of new characters, a new Dharma station logo, a behind-the-scenes look at the Lost writers’ room, and much more.
  • And even though I just posted it this morning, this Season 5 Refresher is essential reading for viewers of all kinds. It’ll jog your memory about where every character on the show left off at the end of Season 4.

Still craving more? Check out all of our Season 5 coverage here.

Remember, the 2-hour season premier of Lost airs at 9:PM, immediately following a “Destiny Calls” recap special. I’ll be back with an episode recap, theories, and observations on the season premier (very) late tonight! Enjoy the show, everybody!
