What the LOSTies are doing on Summer vacation
April 23, 2009 by Robin Parrish
The break in between episodes this week got me to thinking about how there are only 3 more Wednesday nights remaining with new Lost episodes in all of 2009. We won’t see the 6th and final season until January 2010, and it will be much later this year before filming begins. So just what have Lost’s main cast members — past and present — been doing and what will they do with all that downtime?
Let’s have a look at what they’re up to, and where else they can be seen in the near future. (Note that Evangeline Lilly, Daniel Dae Kim, Terry O’Quinn, Henry Ian Cusick, Jeremy Davies, Ken Leung, and Michael Emerson are not currently listed as being involved in any other projects.)
A couple of LOST scoops from Ausiello
March 24, 2009 by Robin Parrish

Somebody’s getting married on the season finale of Lost. But this may not necessarily be a spoiler, as it’s very likely what we’ll be seeing is a flashback. According to Michael Ausiello at EW, “Actors of Asian-American descent are being sought to play extras, and the wedding will take place on the mainland, not the island.” That almost ensures that we’ll be flashing back to Sun and Jin’s wedding, doesn’t it? It makes sense — we know the long-awaited Sun/Jin reunion isn’t likely to happen until very late in the season anyway. Sounds like they’ll finally be reuniting in that season finale, and for added context, we’ll get to see their wedding, to boot.
But Ausiello also points out a truly wild alternate theory: what if it’s Sun and Jin’s daughter Ji Yeon, marrying Aaron in the future? Sounds just crazy enough that it could be possible.
Ausiello also broke a news story about a mini feud over a discrepancy between actress Rebecca Mader’s real age, and the age of her character, the late Charlotte Lewis. It’s a whole big they said/she said back-and-forth that I don’t really care to repeat here, ’cause it’s kinda “much ado about nothing.” It all got sorted out in the end, but if you really want to read the entire sordid affair, click here.
Rebecca Mader speaks

Got a few excerpts for you after the jump.
LOST spoilers about Charlotte’s fate
January 30, 2009 by Robin Parrish

Much has been made in Lost spoiler circles of the fact that Rebecca Mader’s character on the show seems to be in increasingly bad shape, what with all the time travel sickness, and that Mader appears to be carving out a feature film career for herself. AND Mader is only signed on as a recurring character in Season 5, while her fellow Freighter pals Jeremy Davies and Ken Leung were both made regulars. Speculation has been ripe that her character, Charlotte Lewis, won’t be sticking around very long this season.
Since the show is making us question her fate via its storyline this year, any news on this matter can be considered spoiler material. But if you can’t stand the suspense and need to know whether Charlotte is long for this world or not, then Watch with Kristin at E! Online has the scoop — straight from Mader herself!

LOST cast & crew on Season 5
January 20, 2009 by Robin Parrish
The many hard-working folks who bring us Lost every week have been busy feeding the hype machine lately. (Note that there are no Season 5 spoilers in any of these interviews.)
In the Actors column, Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) talked to the Toronto Sun about “finding her geeks” and appreciating Lost’s unique fanbase. Jorge Garcia (Hurley) tells AOL about shooting Season 5, his reaction to Hurley’s backstory connection to the cursed numbers, and what he thinks Season 6 will be about. And Evangeline Lilly (Kate), pictured above at a film opening in Paris, is highlighted in a local feature article in the Honolulu Advisor, about the young actor who plays 3-year-old Aaron on the show, and the sweet friendship he has with “Evie.”
From the Production side of things, the New York Times spotlights script coordinator Gregg Nations, who has compiled an exhaustive archive that the writers use internally to keep track of every last detail. His War & Peace-sized database, as he describes it, is said to contain timelines, charts, dossiers, maps, and more. (What wouldn’t any serious Lost fan give to get their hands on that!?) Co-producer Steven Williams tells CTV.ca that finishing the show next season will be gratifying but also “emotionally torturous” for the cast and crew. And Cleveland.com has an interview with native son and Lost writer/co-producer Brian K. Vaughan. Vaughan is known for his success as a comic book writer before joining the writing team at Lost, and he talks about the differences in writing for comics vs. TV, among other topics.

Rebecca also talks about going back to work next month and what she’s been doing on break. “I went back to England, I hung out with family, I went to New York, did some press, saw Mom and Dad, ran around, I’m just trying to enjoy myself and relax before I go back to work!”
So who does Rebecca hope that her character Charlotte will hook up? Sawyer! She’s quite the fan of a wet, shirtless Sawyer! And she also loved the Lost Season 4 finale, “so good!“

Kristin with Rebecca Mader

Another video with the continuation of Lost week! This time Kristin at E!Online sat down with Rebecca Mader.
Rebecca says she just arrived on set. And she has yet to change her outfit this season! Rebecca says she doesn’t really feel a part of the freighter people since she’s on the island and they are on the boat! And when it comes to the fan pressure, “You have no idea!” Rebecca says. She was nervous and was afraid that people would hate her.
Oh, and she’s “absolutely” single!
