Lost Season 5 billboards
January 18, 2009 by Robin Parrish
The ODI has turned up three billboards in Europe — showcasing Sayid, Hurley, and Locke — and promoting Season 5’s premier. Each one has a different tagline that refers to current happenings with that character, and I predict at least two of them will make you smile.
I’d love to show them to you here, but I’m not going to swipe them from The ODI cause that ain’t cool. So view them here and here.

New Season 5 promotional pictures
December 8, 2008 by Robin Parrish
Lyly Ford Blog turned up ten new promotional pictures for Season Five. The pics are individual profile shots that match the cast shots from the Season Five poster (that “Destiny Calls” one you’ve probably seen a dozen times by now), which were obviously Photoshopped together to create the poster. Here’s your chance to see each character image from that poster solo, if that strikes your fancy. Note that these are not official ABC images, but instead appear to be the cut-and-paste (but still very professional looking) concoction of a TV network in Brazil, using the Destiny Calls poster as source material. But they still turn up a few interesting tidbits…

Coming Soon: Sayid’s Childhood? plus Season 5 Episode Titles
December 2, 2008 by Robin Parrish
Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello reports a “hunch” that Episode 10 of Season 5 is going to center around everyone’s favorite Iraqi assassin. Apparently a casting call has been issued for three roles, all of which are required to speak Arabic. The three roles are a father and his two sons, one 8 years old, the other 12 — as Ausiello describes him, “a sensitive type who’s painfully aware that he lets down his formidable paterfamilias.”
Putting two and two together, EW believes that the 12-year-old role will be a flashback to Sayid’s youth. No title has yet been announced for Episode 10. And in case you’re curious, after the jump are the 6 episode titles from Season 5 that have been released so far (courtesy of TV IV), along with my guesses on who takes center stage in each… Read more

Naveen Andrews on Heroin and Winging Lost
February 4, 2008 by Nikki Katz
Naveen Andrews recently spoke candidly about his heroin addiction and what he considers to be the deterioration of the writing on Lost as the seasons have progressed.
The actor, who plays Sayid on the hit US series, said he lost two years of his life to the drug before checking into rehab in a bid to get clean.
In an interview on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, he said: “There was a danger of me copping it. I lost two years to heroin, but I was able to work, I don’t know how I did it.
“You can take incredible abuse and still work… I collapsed on a job because of booze. When I was younger… it was a miracle I got any work done. On The English Patient I was warned. But I used to collapse out of shot.”
He added that he had finally kicked the habit because of his son, saying: “The turning point was I drove my son when I was drunk and he was scared, and that’s when I decided to go into rehab in LA.”
The 39-year-old said he has no plans to leave the show, although he admitted that the quality of the scripts had deteriorated after the first two series.
He told Ross: “I’m still proud of the first season, around the third I thought they were winging it, the writing was poor but I’m definitely doing two more years.”

Lost - Spoiler Update From Kristin
December 11, 2007 by Nikki Katz
The latest from Kristin at E!Online:
Lynn in Decatur, Georgia: Please, tell me you’ve got something on Lost? I’m dying for anything!
I can tell you the biggest new question for season four is this: Who the hell are the Oceanic Six?! In Sayid’s episode-three flashforward, he tells a contact he’s one of the Oceanic Six, and he doesn’t work anymore because of a settlement he received as the result of a plane crash. Okay now, hold the phone, Sayid: Does this mean only six Oceanic survivors got off the Island?! Say it with me now: Whaaa?!
Anne in Auckland, New Zealand: This Lost hiatus is killing me! Got anything on Sawyer?
In the beginning of season four, Sawyer is…on Team Locke! I can tell you that there are two teams and that the other leader won’t surprise you…but Kate’s allegiance will. Got guesses on the two teams and the two leaders? Comment below!
Lyly in Tours, France: Can you tell me if you have something about Lost for the new season, please? Especially about Sawyer and Kate…
All I can say about Sawyer and Kate is this: “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you, it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it never was.” I know it’s cheesy, but I’m cheesy, dammit, and I believe that’s what’s going on with S&K this season…
Sofia in Mexico: Any news from Lost?
You know how in that episode of Dexter, when Doakes cornered Dex, Dex head-butted him and informed him he’d always be one step ahead? Well, that’s pretty much how Ben is with the rest of us. In season four, it seems like Ben still has everybody’s number—including those on an incoming vessel. Boo-yah. I’m also hearing the show is currently casting fluent Franco-Tunisian voice actors for what must be episode seven or eight. Another hatchsicle? Oui ou non?
