Season 6 DVD/Blu-ray: August 24th
February 1, 2010 by Robin Parrish
According to the always-reliable TVshowsonDVD.com, the 6th and final season of Lost already has a release date on DVD and Blu-ray, before its television premiere. They put the date at August 24th, which makes sense. Past sets have always arrived around a month before the next season is set to debut on TV, but with no more seasons left to debut, there’s no reason to make fans wait that long.
With a total of 5 discs, the DVD version will retail for a suggested price of $59.99, while the Blu-ray version will be $79.99. The collections will contain the usual bloopers, …read more

January 27, 2010 by Robin Parrish
This season marks your last chance to throw a big Lost viewing party, and ABC’s TV Store has just what you need to do it up right. The Lost Viewing Party Kit includes 10 Dharma plates, cups, coasters, napkins, balloons, stickers, and a bottle opener, all cheekily labeled as Dharma standard products.
It’ll set you back $40 plus shipping, but if there’s ever a time to splurge, it’s now. Go on, I won’t judge you.

Make (and sell) your own official LOST t-shirts
January 19, 2010 by Robin Parrish
ABC has teamed up with CafePress to allow fans to create and sell their own official Lost merchandise, including t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and more. There are important rules you’ll want to read pretty carefully, which basically tell you not to use any official Lost logos, photos, stills, posters, etc. And you have to play nice and family-friendly — no politics, no derogatory statements, and you can’t make any undergarments like boxers or thongs.
So if you can’t use official imagery, what does that leave, you ask? The idea is that your merch is “inspired by” the show. So you might see …read more

REVIEW: Lost – Unraveling the Mystery
December 31, 2009 by Robin Parrish
Unraveling the Mystery is the first professional, fan-made, feature-length documentary (now on DVD) about the Lost phenomenon. Written and directed by Dean Shull, the film features a large group of Lost fans ruminating about their memories of watching the show and theories of what it all means.
If the film’s title makes you think you’re going to get some big, cohesive theory of what Lost is about, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. Instead, most of the film is filled with talking heads who tell the documentarians pretty much everything they think about the show. Their likes, their dislikes, the stuff …read more

December 14, 2009 by Robin Parrish
So by now you’ve probably explored the depths of your Season 5 DVD or Blu-ray and watched through all those great extra features. But if you haven’t found any of the “easter eggs” (hidden features), you’re not finished yet!
Lostpedia has a great list of all known easter eggs on both the DVD and the Blu-ray (which contains several more than the DVD). Sadly, none of these match up with the missing features available only on Best Buy’s special edition of the Season 5 DVD, but they’re worth finding regardless.
